    Incoloy Tubes and Pipes

Incoloy 800, 800h, and 800ht tubes are dual-certifiable alloy tubes based on nickel-chromium-iron alloys, resisting oxidation, carburization, and high-temperature corrosion. The chemical composition of these two alloys is identical to alloy 800, with the exception of a higher carbon content. Alloy 800ht includes an addition of 1.0% titanium and aluminum. Alloy 800h exhibits excellent rupture properties at temperatures above 600°C and remains ductile during long-term usage. This 800h material resists oxidizing, reducing, and nitriding environments and remains stable during prolonged high-temperature service. Both alloy 800h and 800ht are easily welded and processed through standard shop fabrication techniques. Incoloy 800 is a nickel and chromium alloy known for its excellent resistance and high strength.

As typical of most nickel-chromium alloys, Incoloy 800 has excellent mechanical properties and their corrosion resistance properties surpass many stainless steel alloys. Incoloy 800 Tube manufacturers produce these components keeping in accordance with ASTM B163. Per this specification, the tubes are practical for use in heat exchangers as well as for condensers. The main function of a condenser in an industry is to condense a gas by conversion of its gaseous state into a liquid one. Condensation is a process that takes place through cooling. Components like a steel pipe, when exposed to very high heat, are prone to getting carburised.

However, the use of  ASTM B163 UNS N08800 as a part of condensation or heat exchangers can be justified, because the alloy can withstand elevated temperature settings. At high temperature and pressure, conventional steel alloys are subject to failure. Which means regular alloys face severe loss of mechanical properties including toughness, ductility, and resistance to cracking, leading to an eventual decay by intergranular corrosion. But, that is not the case with W. Nr. 1.4876 Tubes. The high content of nickel present in the Alloy 800 Tube makes it resilient to becoming brittle due to the precipitation of sigma phase. Along with nickel, its heat resistance properties make the Incoloy 800 Seamless Tube a unique addition to industries like steam power plants or in chemical processing plants for example - distilleries, even if they are slightly more expensive than a welded type. Though the cost for an Incoloy 800 Welded Tube is relatively cheaper, the strength and pressure bearing capacity of a seamless type is much higher. The application of seamless tubes is specifically targeted to those industries that process highly corrosive or flammable compounds, as using this type of Incoloy 800 Tubing ensures safety.

     What Is Incoloy 800/800H/800HT Tubes?

Incoloy 800, 800H, and 800HT Tubes are high-performance nickel-iron-chromium alloys engineered for exceptional strength, corrosion resistance, and thermal stability in extreme environments. These tubes are primarily used in applications involving elevated temperatures and aggressive chemical exposure, such as heat exchangers, petrochemical processing, power generation, and nuclear engineering.
Incoloy 800 Tubes are the base grade in this alloy series, known for their excellent resistance to oxidation and carburization in high-temperature service. Incoloy 800H Tubes are a modified version with higher carbon content and controlled grain size to enhance creep resistance. Incoloy 800HT Tubes take performance further by maintaining stricter controls on aluminum and titanium content, improving resistance to stress rupture and thermal fatigue.
Together, these three variants ensure versatility across demanding thermal conditions, offering engineers and fabricators flexibility in selecting the right material based on operating pressures, temperatures, and long-term durability. Their metallurgical stability, superior weldability, and high strength make Incoloy 800/800H/800HT Tubes a preferred choice for mission-critical piping systems across industries worldwide.
